Work Description

New Construction - HORIZONTAL CABLING: Cabling will be BerkTek Category 6 plenum rated 4-pair and Belden RG6 quad shield plenum rated coax for TV applications. • Provide and install three (3) flush mount single locations. • Provide and install one (1) floor mount single location. • Provide and install one (1) flush mount wall phone location. • Provide and install twenty-four (24) flush mount dual location. • Provide and install sixteen (16) furniture dual locations. • Provide and install two (2) flush mount dual (1 data/ 1 coax) TV location. • Provide and install faceplates, floor mount boxes, modular jacks, couplers and connectors as required for termination of the 4-pair and coax cables at the workstation location. • Provide and install five (5) Tripp Lite Category 6 24-port patch panels. These will be installed in the appropriate IDF for termination of the 4-pair network cables installed. • The coax cables will be terminated and left coiled at the closet location for final connections by others. • Furnish eighty-nine (89) smart pack category 6 Neat patch cords, 2’ in length. FIBER BACKBONE CABLING: • Provide and install one 12-strand Corning single mode armored fiber from maintenance Building to logistics center. • Provide and install twenty-four (24) Corning LC single mode fuse-on connectors. These will be installed for termination of each strand of single mode fiber optic cable installed. • Provide and install two (2) 1RU fiber connector housing equipped with the required loaded panels. This will be installed in the appropriate IDF for housing fiber optic terminations. • Provide labor to test and terminate.
