The proposed Microhub project involves the installation of one (1) temporary modular container, measuring approximately 14 x 70, within the existing fully-developed parking lot at 25 M Street SW. The container will serve as a secure facility for receiving and storing pre-boxed, prelabeled packages in support of last-mile package delivery operations. The container incorporates 5 canopy overhangs on both sides, for facilitating safe package handling. A dedicated box truck parking space is located adjacent to the container for efficient loading and unloading activities. To define the Microhub zone and maintain safe separation from general parking circulation, temporary jersey barriers will be installed. Additionally, the project includes 16 designated e-bike parking spaces (5.5 x 14 each), which will be temporarily striped and reserved exclusively for delivery operations. The e-bike area will be enclosed with temporary fencing to ensure security and operational control. Access for both the box truck and e-bikes will be provided through the north entrance of the parking lot along L Street SW, ensuring smooth access and exit for operations while minimizing disruption to other lot users.
