Alterations - Conventional excavation required to replace 20’ of broken/shifted/offset and back pitched 5” terra-cotta main sewer line. To begin, we will obtain permit with local authority. Property owner/on site maintenance team responsible for removing fence for access to property for repairs as well as removal of plastic kids playground set. We will cut through Astroturf and dispose of collateral material. We will then excavate by machine up to 9’ deep to expose 20’ of 5” terra-cotta main sewer line which is separating and has become back pitched due to heavy erosion. Once terra-cotta has been removed between 4” cast-iron transition at rear of building and trap system, we will dispose of collateral materials. We will prep trench to receive new 4” cast-iron which we will reinstate to the cast-iron coming from building and then install new cast iron trap system. We will reinstate on street side of trap onto 5” terra-cotta by using ARC band as required by local authority. Upon reinstating, we will test for efficiency, then have inspected by local authority. Once given permission, we will bury back using same dirt. No dirt will be hauled away us do we recommend allowing 30-45 days for excavation site to settle prior to replacing surface materials. We do not perform finishing work, so Property owners/staff responsible for replacing Astroturf, fencing, and playset equipment. One full day required to replace sewer lateral. I could not camera through 5 inch terra-cotta trap due to depth out towards street so I cannot attest to the condition of the line beyond the trap. If that line continues to be back, pitched more work will be required at additional cost.
