City Funded Demolition 1. EMERGENCY CURB-SIDE DEMOLITION. Remove all garbage and debris, vegetation, concrete slabs, accessory structures, steps and fencing. 2. Contract term 10 days. Start Date: 4/20/2026, 3:30 PM. Contract ending date: 4/30/2026 3:30 PM 3. ACHD asbestos application required 4. Void to be filled with clean material. 5. Lot shall be graded to match adjacent lots, and so that water is diverted away from neighboring structures. 6. Fence off entire length of parcel to pedestrian traffic using 6-foot barricade fencing. 7. Pictures must be taken of neighboring structures and sidewalk before demolition can begin. 8. Party-Wall Structure. All current contract specifications apply for party wall restoration. – Walls must be repaired and re-sided per articles of agreement – No alternative will be accepted. Any change orders for unforeseen wall repair must be approved & signed before work is to begin. -- Contact Assistant Director Columbus before work is to begin 9. You are requested to submit a separate bid for the party wall repair. a. A defined period will be provided to allow for proper notice and due process for the owner of 1517 Arlington. b. Upon expiration of this period, you may be directed to proceed with either the repair or demolition of 1517 Arlington Ave. 10. Adjacent basement walls must be parged and water proofed to prevent water drainage in neighboring structures -- If applicable 11. City regulations limit demolition work to the hours of 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. 12. Please work with Assistant Director Columbus in achieving road closure permits if necessary. 13. Structure must be made safe within 24 hrs.
