Wireless Communication Facility(WCF)-Discretionary Project:5703/Oberlin - Verizon: Limited Use Permit for proposed modifications to an existing wireless telecommunications facility (WCF) located at 5703 Oberlin Drive, in the Mira Mesa Community Plan Area, IL-2-1 Base Zone, Council District 6. The facility consists of twelve (12) existing panel antennas and six (6) existing Remote Radio Units (RRUs) mounted on the building rooftop and equipment cabinets housed within the 1st floor of the building with a generator located on the ground. The proposed scope of work is to remove existing 30Kw AC Kohler diesel generator with 210-gallon tank, install new 30Kw Kohler generator with 168-gallon State approved tank, mounted on existing 4’-2.5”x9’-0” concrete pad, reuse existing ATS and reuse existing U.G generator conduit for electrical cables and alarm wiring. No modifications are being proposed to the existing antennas or equipment area. The overall size of the equipment (lease) area will remain unchanged and the visual impact to the facility will be negligible.
